All You Are
Should I ever paint a picture
Of all you are to me
Id need more brilliant colors,
Than the world can just now see.
If you were a flower,
In this picture Id compose,
Youd be more lovely,
Than just another rose.
Were you a landscape,
Of trees, or cliffs, or sea,
The canvas could never hold,
What beauty youve shown me.
I am not wealthy,
Not overly bright,
But when Im near you,
The world feels right.
A glimpse of your face,
Smiling and free,
The touch of your hand,
All's well for me.
