RE: Why blame everyone else???
While the arguments you make are valid in some contexts,
they do not apply across the board as you have generalized.
Sure, there are those who don't read profiles and respond
inappropriately. There are those who obviously cannot
write, cannot contain their vulgarity, have no manners,
or are anything but gentleman. For those types your argument
is right on the money; however, I have the same complaint
as that which you attack, and I am anything but what you generalize
in your article. I am intelligent and my profile reflects
the same. I do provide a full body nude shot as my main photo
so whomever has a general impression of me physically,
but it is done with taste, and I don't expose myself
to the masses unless they are paying members and wish to
see more. I am not vulgar, nor do I approach women with vulgarity,
but do so instead with the intelligence I possess, and the
courtesy and manners I expect from others. I DO READ the
profiles I view, and I NEVER contact a woman or couple who
explicitly indicate something therein that is contradictory
to my desire to do so. I do not convey a negative attitude
at any time, and even though it's a rare occasion, when
I am bluntyly dismissed, or improperly treated by somebody
who's attitude is apparently sensitive to almost
everything, I am still a gentleman, and often apologize
for something I did not do...just to remain a gentleman.
Every argument you and so many others have made against
those who complain concerning a lack of response from women
somehow never applies to me. Why then do I have the same complaint,
even though I'm above average looking, and actively
contacting members who fit within mutual boundaries?
It's hard to say, but I have remained consistent with
most, if not all, of the suggestions I've seen offered
in these magazines about what women like to see, and which
will cause them less hesitation in responding, but I still
get so few responses, that I can nearly count them on my fingers
during the course of 8-10 months. Sure, your argument is
a sound one for those to whom it applies, and I mean nothing
personal, but it doesn't deserve to be so generalized
as it is that those like I who actually follow the rules should
be afflicted by YOUR attitude and/or generalizations.
The fact remains it remains a valid complaint for many here
who do not fall into your definitions of what is to blame.
